MACC visits Jülich Supercomputing Centre

On January 19, 2022, Manuel Heitor, the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES), accompanied by Rui Oliveira, Director of Minho Advanced Computing Center (MACC/FCT), visited the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), that hosts Jewels, the most powerful European supercomputer.

This visit was meant to foster the collaboration between JSC and the MACC on HPC and Quantum Computing and to strengthen JSC's support to the "Minho Manifesto on European HPC for Science and Innovation”.
