MACC participated in Encontro Ciência 2023

MACC participated in Encontro Ciência 2023, an important Portuguese event that gathers science and technology for three days.

João Barbosa, one of the MACC researchers, was part of the round table that took stock of the activities carried out over the last year within the scope of the National Advanced Computing Network (RNCA) and the EuroHPC. The session also looked into the future, with special attention given to the entry into operation of the supercomputer Deucalion, within the scope of the MACC.

João Nuno Ferreira, João Pagaime, Susana Caetano and Catarina Guerreiro took part in the same session. Also represented were INCD, LCA-UC, and HPC-UÉ.

The work took place between the 5th and 7th of July, in Aveiro. This was the first time that the Encontro Ciência took place outside Lisbon.
