MACC presented at the EuroHPC Summit 2023

MACC’s director, Rui Oliveira, was at the EuroHPC Summit 2023, in Gothenburg, which had as the main topic the “European Supercomputing Excellence in the Exascale Era”. Deucalion, one of the next operational supercomputers in Europe, was part of the exhibition of the EuroHPC supercomputers.

The EuroHPC Summit, which this year took place between March 20 and 23, is an important moment to showcase the latest achievements and opportunities in the European supercomputing ecosystem, and a great opportunity to network and connect with the European HPC community. This event gathers every year key European HPC stakeholders from providers to scientific and industrial users, to policy makers.

Among the Portuguese delegation was also João Nuno Ferreira, from FCT-FCCN, and Gabriel Pinheiro, Master’s student from the University of Coimbra who won the HPC Ambassador Award 2022.
